Debbie York

Deborah Ann "Debbie" York, age 63, of Corinth, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Williamstown, KY.

She was born September 13, 1957, in Miami, FL to Kenneth Wallner and Diane Brigman Matteson.  She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Diane and Jim Matteson, and her grandson, Kyle York. Deb was the kind of lady who would never sit still long and never wasted a day of her life.  She was compassionate, patient, and loved her family, especially being "Granny" to all of her grandkids. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and her favorite destination was the beach. Debbie enjoyed growing flowers and was also very artistic, enjoying drawing, painting, and writing.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Rodney York; her father, Kenneth (Jo) Wallner; her children, Crystal (Scott) Rider, Susan (Greg) Roland, Travis (Tammy) York, and Sarah (Ashley) Young; her grandchildren, Savannah Braddock, Jackson Rider, Cody Roland, Emily (Luke) Ingrassellino, Abby (Kory) Roland, Shawna (Maryellen) Stratton, Kaileigh and Kolt Gibson; her great-grandchildren, Paisley and  Penelope Berger, Ryan Ingrassellino, Nicholas, Nazaireya, Dai'Mari, and Dai'Sean Stratton; and her siblings, Cindy (Earl Stone) Moser, Michael (Belinda) Wallner, Tina (Mitchell) Peace, and Jody (Rusty) Gage; as well as her Aunt Joyce and Uncle David Brigman to whom she was more like a daughter.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, from 3 - 6 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 6 pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding.  Masks are required for those who have not been vaccinated, and social distancing is encouraged.
