David Dunn

David L. Dunn, age 64, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.

Born November 7, 1957, in Ft. Thomas, KY, he was the son of the late David F. and Hattie Lee Maines Dunn and was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Chelsea Volker and great granddaughters, Kennedy Volker and Evon Lee Ferguson. David worked in many capacities, including postal delivery for several years. He was a talented musician who enjoyed playing guitar and singing. He will long be remembered for being a supportive, loyal, bestfriend, who loved making others laugh.  David enjoyed playing Bingo and listening to Elvis, but what he loved most of all were his friends and family and being Papaw or Papaw Buddy to his grandchildren.

He will be missed by his wife of 28 years, Linda King Dunn; his children, David F. (Tasha) Dunn of Elsmere, Sonia (James) Wright of Corinth, and Jennifer (Donnie) Carmack of Owenton; his step-children, Troy McCormick, Jesse McCormick, and Katie (Ricky) Shelton; his siblings, Jack (Paula) Dunn, Donald (Chandra) Dunn, Joan Menning, and Donna Dunn; his grandchildren, Allison McCormick, Jesse McCormick, Jr., Jeremiah Burden, Izzabelle Dunn, , Jack Hearn, Lilly Hearn, Kristin Wright, Samantha Wright, Lindsey Wagner, Rebecca (Ryan) Chapman, Tia (Brandon) Landers, Cameron Dunn, Nathan Ferguson, and Damian Dunn; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Brantley and Callum.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A private family memorial service will be held.
