David Dean Burdette

David "Dave" Dean Burdette, 82, of Perry Park, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Born December 14, 1940, in Burnwell, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Ventrue and Eula Bird Burdette. He was also preceded in death by his wife Linda Lou Dunaway and his brother Vincent Burdette.  Dave served his country in the United States Navy, received his education at Northrop University of Technology,  and retired from American Airlines as an aircraft mechanic. He will be remembered as a quick-witted, family man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed going camping, bow hunting, fishing, boating, and hunting for arrowheads. He loved old cars, riding motorcycles, and fireworks.

He will be missed by his children, Barry Burdette, Michelle (Jim) Stark, and Leslie Burdette; grandchildren, Dylan (Emily) Burdette, Morgan Burdette, Ryan Burdette, Taylor (Mitchell) Green, and Bryson Stark; one great-grandson Grayson Green; and one sister, Judy Hatch.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, December 8, 2023 fro,m Noon to 2 pm.  Funeral services follow at 2 pm with burial with military honors at the Squiresville Cemetery.
