Daryl Wayne Prather

Daryl Wayne Prather, age 47 of Jeffersonville, IN and formerly of Owenton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Baptist Health in Louisville.Daryl was born September 3, 1970, in Frankfort, KY to the late Justice Prather and Edith Hudnall Prather, who survives.  Daryl was full of life, enjoyed his friends and family, loved NASCAR and demolition derbies.  He enjoyed fishing and loved rock music.  He was employed by A1 Porta Potty and refereed wrestling.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Cory Warren, Kayla Prather, and Austin Prather; his grandchildren, Kaity Jo Hopkins and Kyle Wayne Hopkins; his brother, Tommy Prather and a host of extended family and friends.  Daryl also leaves behind his beloved cockatoo, Snowball, who he taught to speak, sing and dance.McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Monday, January 22, 2018, from 4 - 7 pm.  A funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Bro. Mike Benson presiding.
