Darrin Quintin Brock, 34, passed away Tuesday April 10, 2012. He was born in Carrollton the son of Larry Dean and Shirley Jones Brock. He was a hard worker, enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, U.K. basketball, riding four-wheelers and cooking. He was what you might call a “Country Boy”. He was one who would help anyone and that was apparent when he and his brother rescued eight people from a burning apartment building. He is survived by his parents, his son, Darrin Elijah Dean Brock whom he loved dearly, his brother, Robert Vincent Damon Brock, his niece and nephew, Tori Michelle and Josh Brock. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother Dorothy Jones, paternal grandparents, Larry and Cosette Brock and great grandmother Annie Hensley. A special friend, Tina Kaeff, also survives. Visitation will be held Friday, April 13th, from 5 until 9pm at the Community Family Church 11875 Taylor Mill Rd. Independence, KY 41051. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 1pm at the church with Pastors Thomas Bates and Sonny Price officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
