Darlene Scudder Cordray

Darlene Scudder Cordray, age 50, passed away Saturday July 18 at the U.K. Medical Center. She was born on October 16, 1958 the daughter of the late Paul and Virginia Barnett Scudder. In recent years Darlene was a caregiver and devoted herself to families who needed someone to help during the final stages of their loved ones life. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. On January 1, 2004 she married John Cordray who survives. Also surviving are her two children Christy Cochran and Paul Minch both of Squiresville, two brothers, Wayne and Dale Scudder both of Warsaw, two sisters, Brenda Leary and Edna Hammond both of Warsaw, and five grandchildren, Justin, Morgan, Madelyn, Mac and Alexis. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location, Tuesday, July 21st, from 11 -2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. David Wotier and Bro. Craig Howard presiding. Burial will be in the Squiresville Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Owen County Senior Citizens.
