Dana Anderson

Dana Charles Anderson, of Windham ME, a loving husband and father, died of brain cancer surrounded by his family on November 11, 2025, in Owenton, Kentucky.

He grew up in North Yarmouth, Maine and graduated Greely High School in 1975 and then studied at SMVTI and VTECH. Dana began his career in the family business making lobster traps but eventually transitioned to technology. He was a dedicated professional, serving as a database administrator for Maine Listings for over 25 years.

Dana was very close to his large extended family with whom he spent countless hours and holidays. He was a craftsman who enjoyed his time in the wood shop building beautiful furniture and cutting boards. He was many things to many people, but he was alway the guy you could call if you needed help. Dana will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of steak and board games, and unwavering stubbornness and love. 

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Barbara Larrabee Anderson, and their daughter, Amanda Anderson, son-in-law Hunter Matthews, grandchildren Hazel and Henry, mother Janice Anderson, and sisters Deborah Anderson, Rebecca Marr, Elizabeth Laverriere, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his son Daniel Anderson, brother Clayton Anderson, and fathers Dana and Lewis Anderson. Dana's memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family.
