Damien Jerome Hersh

Damien Jerome Hersh, age 14, of Frankfort passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

Damien was born on February 10, 2010, to Alyssa Bruce and David Hersh who survive.

Born with a vibrant spirit, Damien’s love for life was evident in everything he did. Whether shooting hoops with friends, immersing himself in the thrill of video games, or enjoying the quiet solitude of a hunting or fishing trip, he found joy in both adventure and camaraderie. Damien's greatest passion, however, was his love of sneakers, particularly his treasured Jordans. Though he is no longer with us, the impact he had on our lives will remain forever.

He will be deeply missed by his mother, Alyssa Bruce; his maternal grandmother Sabrina Smith; his paternal grandparents, Theresa O'Brien and David Allen Hersh; maternal great-grandparents, David and Brenda Bruce, and Bonnie Smith; aunts and uncle, Jacklyn Olds, Destiny Bruce, and Jake Olds; his girlfriend, Nevaeh Goodlett; and a host of extended family and friends.  Damien was preceded in death by his infant sister, Cheyenne Hulette, his grandfather, David "Bubby" Bruce; and great-grandfather Carl Smith.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 10 am until 1 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with burial in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
