Dalton "Donkey" Garrett

Dalton W. “Donkey” Garrett, age 78, passed away Saturday, October 24th, at the Baptist Hospital-East in LaGrange. Born April of 1931, he was the son of the late Dalton B. Garrett and Flora Mae Smith Garrett. Mr. Garrett was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Garrett. Donkey worked as a mechanic for the Carroll County School System. He is survived by his wife, Marie Rowlett Garrett, one son: Dwight Garrett also of Turner Station; and one sister: Velma Heusel of LaGrange, Ky. Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held Monday, October 26th, from 4 until 8pm at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday and will begin at 11am. Bro. Jason Owenby will be officiating. Burial will be in the English Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the English Baptist Church Building Fund.
