Connie R Bickers

Connie Sue (Rose) Bickers, age 65, of Owenton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025. Connie was born on April 22, 1960, to the late Viola Potts Rose and the late Howard Rose Jr. She spent her life rooted in love, family, and community.

Connie made her home in Owenton with her devoted husband, Harry Bickers, where they shared a beautiful and meaningful life together. She was employed at Belterra Casino in Florence, Indiana, for 19 years and was respected by colleagues and friends alike for her strong work ethic and welcoming nature. Her family’s legacy also includes many years of operating the Owenton Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership, a cornerstone of the community.

Connie was a loving sister to Shirley Perkins (Park Perkins), Wilma Christopher (late husband Ron Christopher), and Larry Rose (Roseann Rose). She was preceded in death by her siblings Vermelle West, Bobby Gene Rose, and Gary Lee Tackett. She was also blessed with a large extended family of nieces and nephews who adored her.

Her immediate family includes her husband Harry, stepchildren Stacy Staton and (Harry) Eddie Bickers Jr., and her cherished grandson Timothy Staton and his wife Leiderly Staton, all of whom brought great joy to her life.

Connie enjoyed crafting, caring for animals, traveling the world, and spending time with her family. Her creativity, generosity, and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, November 21, 2025, at New Funeral Home, 202 N Main, Owenton, KY, from 11 am until 2 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with her nephew, Bro. Chad Rose, presiding.  Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Owen County Friends of Animals. 

Connie’s loving heart, generous nature, and beautiful soul have left a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
