Clinton Dessenko, 67, of Richmond Ky, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, at Owenton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Facility, Owenton Ky after a short battle with Cancer. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in a private ceremony Clinton Dessenko was born on 19 April 1955 in Minot, North Dakota, the son of Sam and Shirley (Knodel) Dessenko. He grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and entered the Air Force in 1974. He was a structural craftsman for the US Air Force. He served in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm and retired as a Tech Sargent in 1994. He also retired from the Lee County Florida school system as a custodian in 2011. Clinton’s service in the Air Force took him all over the world. He lived in Japan, German, and Portugal as well as many US cities. His charming personality was contagious and he made friends everywhere he went. Clinton met Nancy Hogan in the Air Force and they married in 1975 in Biloxi Mississippi. They divorced in 1985. He later married Connie Richardson in 1997 in North Fort Myers, Florida. They divorced in 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers; Quentin Dessenko, Cedar Rapids IA., Tracy (Carmen) Dessenko, Richmond Ky. Niece and Nephews: Brittney, Douglas (KaLynn), and Sean Dessenko; all of Richmond Ky. Connie Dessenko, Fort Myers, Florida New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Inurnment, with military honors, will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in a private ceremony In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at the Disabled American Veterans Charity at www.dav.org.
