Cleo King Anderson, 77, of Owenton, and formerly of Knott County, died Wednesday June 3, 2009 at New Horizons Medical Center. Born December 30, 1931, in the Puncheon Community of Knott, CO. KY, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Angeline Hall King and was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Conley Anderson and her brother Everage King. Cleo was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, a homemaker,and avid gardener. She is survived by her two sons, Ronald and Kevin Anderson of Owenton; two daughters, Cessie (Russell) Bentley and Paula (Ronald) Nickles both of Topmost; four sisters, Viola Moore of Florida, Ocie Hall of Kite, Beulah Anderson of Kite and Dilo Click of Leburn. There are five grandchildren, Brian (Candace) Nickles, Bruce (Kelly) Bentley, Chris Anderson, Jarrod (Robyn) Bentley, Kim and Kolton Anderson and eight great grandchildren, Clay Nickles, Kamryn, Kaci and Taylor Bentley, Cody, Elli and Savannah Anderson and Kaden Bentley. Local arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street Location on Friday, June 5th, from 4-7:30pm. Funeral Services will follow at 7:30 with Bro. Jesse Bourne officiating. Knott County arrangements will be handled by Hindman Funeral Services. Visitation will be held at the Old Rebecca Church on Saturday night beginning at 4pm and Funeral Services on Sunday at 11. Burial will be in the Shelby Mullins Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Horizons Medical Foundation.
