Christine Dempsey Kemper

Christine Dempsey Kemper, age 93, of Owenton, passed away at Frankfort Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.

Born May 30, 1925, in Owen County, she as the daughter of the late James D. Dempsey and Mabel Perkins Dempsey and the widow of Lee Ray Kemper.  She as preceded in death by siblings, Lucille Hall, Pauline Burke and James "Jimmy" D. Dempsey, Jr.  She as a member of the Monterey Baptist Church.  She and her husband enjoyed shopping and refinishing antique furniture.

She is survived by her sisters, Ann Bond of Owenton and Joyce Claxon of Monterey as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 11am until 2pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding.  Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the Monterey Cemetery or Bluegrass Care Navigators.
