Chris faced life’s challenges with remarkable strength, having undergone a kidney transplant 24 years ago. This journey only highlighted his courage and unwavering spirit. He found joy in watching basketball, nurturing plants, playing poker, and exploring nature. His enthusiasm extended to traveling, attending concerts, and spending treasured moments with friends. Animals held a special place in his heart, reflecting his gentle and caring nature.
Family was at the very center of Chris’s life. He was especially proud of the profound influence he had on his sister Helena and his daughter Heaven. His commitment to their lives was a testament to his generous and nurturing character. Chris is survived by a loving circle of family and friends: his daughters Heaven (Matthew) Watts and Crystal Marie (Nathan) Flinchum, and his son Donald Gribbon Jr., affectionately known as “DJ.” His legacy continues through grandchildren Rylee Rose and Emma Jean Marie Watts. He also leaves behind his sister Helena (Jesse) Tindle-Rollison, brother Uriah Wayne Tindle, nephews Cainaan Abel Tindle, Braydon Tindle, and Mason Tindle, as well as great niece Vivian Claire Greer. His extended family includes his uncle Garrett (Anna Smoot) Hammonds and aunt Barbara (Larry) Williams.
