Charlie Miller

Charlie Miller, age 85, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.Born December 23, 1932, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Robert and Kathryn Long Miller and the widower of Joyce Hopkins Miller.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Tommy Miller, Pauline Cox and Geraldine Miller and two grandchildren. Charlie was a farmer and a member of the Baptist faith.Charlie is survived by his children, Keith (Pam) Miller of Owenton, Leann Thompson of Eminence, Mendy (Jeff) Underwood of Eminence, Tina (Greg) Kincaid of Frankfort and Tim (Pam) Miller of Smithfield; his siblings, Danny Miller, Thelma Baumgartner, Cora Bell Stivers and Anna Dews; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, February 5, 2018, from 10 am until 2 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with Keith Miller presiding.  Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators Hospice (formerly Hospice of the Bluegrass).
