Worthville – Charlie Butcher, 78, of Owen County, passed away, Friday, May 30, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness. Born April 16, 1930, in New Liberty he was the son of the late Owen Wickliffe and Vivian Gough Butcher. He was a graduate of the New Liberty School, a farmer and a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton. He is survived by his wife Imogene Kemper Butcher; his two sons, Patrick Owen (Brooke) Butcher and Thomas Louis “Dooley” (Dawn) Butcher; his daughter Shonna Butcher (Begie) Toole all of Owen County; Ten grandchildren also survive, Tara, Bryce, and Jill Butcher, Dylan Bromwell, Mallory Wilkerson, Carson Charles and Giana Butcher, Jerusha, Samantha and Sydni Toole. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Family Worship Center, Carrollton on Monday, June 2nd, from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11am Tuesday, June 3rd , with Rev. Nick Coleman, Rev. Gene Weaver, Rev. John Nuzzo and Rev. Pat Butcher presiding. Burial will be in the Wheatley Masonic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Family Worship Center, Box 186, Carrollton, KY 41008.
