Charles Stewart

Mr. Charles Stewart, age 83, of New Liberty passed away Tuesday August 19, 2014 at Baptist Healthcare, East in Louisville. Born April 19, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Laura Stewart. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the mother of his children, Carla Jean Stewart and his brother Brad Stewart. Charles was a retired farmer and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He also had a passion for restored tractors. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Tillie Sewart; his sons, Charles "Bo" Stewart, Jr. of Worthville, Johnny Stewart of New Liberty and Mike Jewell of Warsaw; three daughters, Rebekka Lawrence of Owenton, Susan Wallace of New Liberty and Carol Edens of Trimble County; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren and his sister, Norma Jean Owen of Ghent. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Fox, Steve Wallace, Tommy Williams, Bubba Breeden, Michael Burns and Danny Jump. Ative Pallbearers will be Paul Smoot, Stacey Edens, Opie O'Connor, Chris Miller, Matthew Stewart, Luke Parks, Bill Snell and Mike Jewell. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, August 21st from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday with Bro. Dale Adkins presiding. Burial will be in the Wheatley Masonic Cemetery with a meal to follow at the Stewart's home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church
