Charles Osborne, Sr.

Charles Osborne, Sr., 86, of Worthville, died Wednesday August 19, 2009 at the King’s Daughters Hospital in Madison, IN. Born August 8, 1923 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Earl James and Margaret Ellen Ennis Osborne and was preceded in death by a son, Danny Osborne and Brothers, Jess, Earl, JR., Eugene and Harold Osborne. Charles was a farmer and a member of the Stonewall Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, whom he married on December 12, 2000, Regina LuAnn Merritt Osborne; three sons, Charles J. Osborne of Anderson County, Ricky Dean Osborne of Owenton, William Marshall “Willie” Osborne of Sanders; one step son, Jonathon Smith of Owen County; four daughters, Mae Katherine Simmons of Taylorsville, Anna Faye YaKush of Ashville, OH, Joan Carol Lyons of Gratz, Eunice Osborne Gaines of Owenton; one step daughter, Sarah Smith of Owenton; three brothers, Franklin Osborne of Erlanger, Kenneth Osborne of Owenton and David Lee Osborne of Ohio; two sisters Marie Gaines and Mary Herzner of Owenton. Twelve Grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street Location on Monday, August 24th, from 4- 8pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11am with Bro. Wayne Kelly officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
