Charles Robert Lafferty Jr.

Charles Robert "Bobby" Lafferty Jr., 90, passed away Saturday September 5, 2020 at his home near Sparta. He was born in Owen County the son of the late Charles Robert and Glenna Farrar Lafferty. He was also preceded by a sister, Frances Elmore, a grandson, Devin Vandt and a great grandson, Nolan Harris. Bobby was a farmer having raised tobacco, cattle and sheep and was a member of Sparta Christian Church. He is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, Joyce Stewart Lafferty, two daughters, Tara (Ron) Vandt and Valerie (Alan) Chelf, one son, Charles Michael (Tina) Lafferty, eight grandchildren, Sarah Heichelbech, Anna Raper, Jonathan Lafferty, Megan Casper, Ronna Vandt, Charlotte Vandt, Landon Chelf and Sylvia Chelf, 14 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. A graveside service will be held in the Owenton Cemetery on Saturday September 12 at 11:00AM. McDonald & New Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
