Charles Grugin

Charles Grugin, 83 passed away Thursday at his residence. He was the son of the late Estill Cambridge and Minnie Claxon Grugin. He was also preceded inn death by his brother: William Claxon Grugin. Charles was retired from the corrections department with the State Government. He was a member of the Monterey Christian Church. He is survived by his two sons: Joel Grugin of Monterey and Charles Brent Grugin (Rhonda) of Bardstown. One daughter: Melinda Joy Poindexter (Bob) of Somerset. Two Step-Daughters: Bobby Joe Warner (Harold) of Frankfort and Jackie Whitis of Franfort. One sister: Lou Ann Tupts of Monterey. Also surviving are three grandchildren and ten Step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday at Noon at the McDonald & New Funeral Home on Main Street. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort. Rev. Everett Hawkins will officiate the services. Donations may be made to the Monterey Cemetery.
