Charles Catron

Charles Catron, age 75, of Stamping Ground, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

Born June 7, 1948, in Cynthiana, KY, he was the son of the late Charles Catron and Christine Dunn and was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Catron. Charles was a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church and a farmer who enjoyed raising cattle.  He retired from Trane Company in Lexington. He also enjoyed trips with his family and fishing.

He will be missed by his wife of 55 years, Mary Adams Catron; his daughter, Melissa (Tim) Shepard; grandchildren, Lauren (Bryan) Sizemore, Mackenzie Shepard, Nathan Catron; great grandchildren, Bella and Emily Fugate; and his siblings, Junie (Rick) Ewalt, Sue (Charlie) Northcutt, Lori Catron, Allen (Hope) Catron, and Michael (Judy) Catron.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends for visitation at the Main Street location on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 11am until 1 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Bro. John Thomas presiding. Burial will be in the Stamping Ground Masonic Cemetery.
