Cecelia M. Smith

Cecelia M. Smith, age 88, of Owenton passed away at her home on March 26, 2013. Born July 19, 1924 in Daviess County, KY she was the daughter of the late William Patrick Mattingly and Cassie Boswell Mattingly. She was the widow of Lawrence J. Smith and an administrative assistant for General Electric in Owensboro. Cee was a semi-pro bowler, loved softball and attended both Madisonville Baptist Church and Buena Vista Baptist Churches. She is survived by her son, Dave Smith of Owenton; her sister, Virginia Dame of Owensboro; her nephews, Jeff and Scott Dame and Richard Hall and her niece Mary Goodman. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A service will be held at 11am Central Standard Time, on Saturday, March 30th, at the Christ Chapel in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
