Carolyn L. Smith

Mrs. Carolyn L. Young Smith, age 61 of Owen County, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017, following an illness.Born October 3, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Norma Hardling Young.  She had worked as a waitress and enjoyed being at home with her family.She is survived by her husband, whom she married in 1995, Tim Smith; her children, Melissa and Michelle Gentry, Amy Smith and Christopher Fulmer; her siblings, Lucille Young, Sally Noe and Dennis Young; her grandchildren, Brittany, Tiffany, Bryan, Ryan and Dru Gentry, Kayden Heitzman, Seleste, Emily, and Timothy Gabbard and Alaura Fulmer; her great grand children, Trevor Aldridge and Mason Thomas.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Smith will be buried in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery, on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11am.  Donations may be made to McDonald & New Funeral Home in care of the Smith family.
