Carolyn Montague

June 25, 1930 — August 14, 2020

Carolyn Montague, age 90 of Owenton, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born June 25, 1930, in the Long Ridge community of Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Luther "Buzz" and Lucille Cobb Steger. She was the widow of Wallace Truman Montague whom she married on March 31, 1954.  A week prior to her passing, she was preceded in death by her son William "Bill" Gillock Montague. Also preceding her was her sister, Doris "Jane" Steger. Carolyn was a homemaker and devoted member of Long Ridge Baptist Church.

She will be missed by her daughters, Linda Montague and Ann (Daryl) Perkins; her grandchildren, Cody (Jamie), Josh (Audra) and Tosha Perkins, Elizabeth (Daniel) St. Cyr, Riley, Addison, and Caroline Montague and nine great grandchildren.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, from 11 am until 1 pm .  This will be a pass-through visitation with social distancing and masks required. A graveside funeral will follow at 1 pm in the Owenton Cemetery with Bro. Turner Howard and Bro. Mike Parks presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Long Ridge Baptist Church.
