Carolyn Marshall

Carolyn Marshall, age 72, of Owenton, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. Elizabeth in Florence.

Born May 15, 1948, in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene Brown. Carolyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Marshall; her brother, Billy Brown and her granddaughter, Allison Fitzgerald. She was a member of Squiresville Baptist Church. Carolyn retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the department of Pupil Transportation. She adored her dog Macy, camping, shopping on QVC, getting her nails done and her McDonald's coffee. She also enjoyed spending time with her children in Gatlinburg.

She will be missed by her daughters, Tammy (Jimmy) Powers, Sonya Marshall; her grandchildren, Kellsey (DJ) Burns, Shelby (Damian) Lyman, Marcus (Gabriela Turner) Powers; her great grand-children, Brooklyn, Kylan, Graysen, Easton, Emberly and several nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 11 am until 2 pm for a pass-thru visitation. Masks and social distancing are required. Funeral services, with limited seating, will follow at 2 pm with Bro. Jeremey Warren presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Owen Co. Childrens Fund.
