Carolyn Corbett

June "Carolyn" Lusby Corbett, age 80, a resident of Fairview Assisted Living in Carrollton, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2021 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

Carolyn was born October 29, 1940, in Owen County to the late John Thomas "JT" Lusby and Thelma Lewis Keith. She was also preceded in death by her husband Billy Corbett and her siblings, John Lusby, Juanita Lusby, and Jerry Lusby.  She was a retired home health aide for Three Rivers. Carolyn was a founding member of The Lighthouse Church where she was a devoted member.  Her faith was evident in her daily life. She was a prayer warrior for many and constantly encouraged others by sending cards to friends and family. She loved raising a garden and blessing others with its bounty.  Most of all she loved her family and being 'Mamaw' to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by the legacy she leaves behind; her children, Tim (Kim) Mason, Sondra (John) Wood, Billie Jo Corbett, and Kimberly Corbett; her fifteen grandchildren and her twenty great-grandchildren.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A private service will be held with Pastor, Gene Weaver presiding and burial in the Owenton Cemetery.  To honor Carolyn's memory, memorial contributions are suggested to Owen County Children's Fund.
