Carol Sue Pennington

Carol S. Carnes Pennington, age 67 and a resident of Owenton, passed away Monday, October 20th. Born October of 1940, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Carnes and Amy Marie Blair. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Karen Ray Pennington, one sister, Vivian Isaacs, and two brothers-Holton and Homer Carnes Carol was a dietary cook at the New Horizons Medical Center in Owenton and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Carla Pennington of Owenton and Barbara Watson of Spanaway, Washington; three brothers: Marshall Carnes and Billy Carnes both of Mt. Zion, KY., and Albert Carnes of South Point, OH. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 until 9pm at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 11am. Burial will follow in the Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
