Carlton Eugene Anderson

Mr. Carlton Anderson, age 79, of Owenton passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at New Horizons Medical Center. He was born in Hebron, KY the son of the late Henry Keenan and Inell Clayton Anderson. He was married to Jeannie Ballard Anderson who passed away just one day prior to him. Carlton was a teacher at Boone County High, Conner Middle and Conner High from 1958 to 1988 having been an Athletic Director for 18 of those years. He was named A.D. of the year in 1976 and received the Outstanding Young Educator Award. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist where he was a Sunday School teacher. Mr. Anderson is survived by his son, Mike (Melissa) Anderson of Owenton, one sister, Kathleen Utz and four grandchildren, Mallory, Keenan, Katie and Thien. Joint visitation will be held at Pleasant Ridge Baptist on Wednesday Sept. 10 from 3 to 6PM with a service at 6PM. Joint services will be held at the Hebron Lutheran Church at 11AM Thursday with visitation beginning at 9AM at the church. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist.
