Carla Sue Oakes

Carla Sue Oakes, 66, of Owenton, passed away, Wednesday, July 30th at the St. Luke West Hospital in Florence. Born August 31, 1941, in Owen County she was the daughter ofthe late Carl Kemper and Agnes Vannarsdall Noel. She was a retired counselor for the Northern KY Treatment Center and attended Owenton First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband Nathan Oakes of Owenton; her son, Dudley Oakes of Owenton; her daughter Catrina Clifton of Lawrenceburg; her brother Billy Noel of Frankfort; two sisters, Chee Chee Rogers of Lawrenceburg and Gerry Smith of Monterey. Three granddaughters, Ashley, Billie and Chasidy and three great grandchildren Kaleesa, Camden and Eli also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family has chosen cremation and there will be no services. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
