Carl George Smith

Carl George Smith, age 80, of Perry Park, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Norton Hospital in Lousiville.

Born December 21, 1943, in Covington, he was the son of the late Carl C and Dolores Kahrs Smith and was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Dawn Smith. Carl was a retired night manager with Kroger. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Carl will be missed by his wife of over 57 years, Bonnie Bungenstock Smith; his children, Sonya (Chuck) Reeder, Jeffery (Mary) Smith, and Sabrina (Rex) Cummins; his grandchildren, Carley Reeder, Austin Reeder, Alyssa Bruce, Jacob Olds, Jacklyn Olds, Ashley Atkinson, Tabitha Smith, Drew Smith, and Andrew Coffman; and nine great-grandchildren.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A visitation will be held at the Main Street location on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from Noon to 1 pm. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm in Floral Hills Cemetery.
