Carl E. Hess Jr.

Carl E. Hess Jr., 78, passed away Thursday October 5 in Lexington. He was born in Louisville the son of the late Carl and Hazel Fondern Hess. He was also preceded by a sister, Sharon Bohannon. Carl worked in the printing business for many years. He enjoyed fishing, UK sports, going out to eat with his wife and their many traveling adventures. He also loved to sing and enjoyed being a jokester. He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Linda Sipple Hess, three sons, Phil Hess (Sheila), Tim Hess and Scott Hess (Deedra), two daughters, Ashley Elam (Bernie) and Kelly Brown, one brother, Don Hess (Jane), six grandchildren, Keysha, Jaxon, Phillip Scott, Nathan, Mitchel and Kendal, seven great grandchildren and a special niece Lisa McAllister. The funeral is on Thursday October 12 at 2PM with visitation beginning at Noon at New Funeral Home on Main St. Burial will follow in the Owenton Cemetery and memorials may be made to the Cancer Society or St. Jude's.
