Careyon Lewis

Jean “Careyon” Lewis, 60, of Owenton, passed away Saturday Oct.10, 2009 at the University of KY Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Born December 10, 1948, in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late James B. and Mary Jean Hall Sipple. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ryan Lewis and a granddaughter Ashleigh New. Careyon was a hairdresser at Touch of Polish. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Lewis; her son, Eric (Gayla) Lewis of Owenton; her daughter, Tara (Anthony) New of Frankfort and Three grandchildren, Audrey and Brandon Lewis and Whitney New. Pall Bearers will be David Chappell, Greg Smoot, Jim Bush, Andy Alexander and Devin and Chase Duvall. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held at the Main Street location on Monday, October 12, 2009 from 4 to 8pm. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday with Bro. Craig Howard officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to either the Owen Co. Children’s Fund or the Owen Co. Christian Pre-school.
