Buddy Fulton Walker

Buddy Fulton Walker, 83, passed away March 7, 2025 in Frankfort. He was born on April 4, 1941 the son of the late Robert Fulton and Lillian House Walker and was also preceded by two brothers, Lanny and Ricky Walker, a daughter-in-law, Teresa Walker, a brother-in-law, Jimmy D.Olds and a nephew Jim Bob Olds. Buddy was the former operator of the WPB Shell Oil Bulk Service Station, Shell Oil Gas station and the Ashland Station all in Owenton. He was also a mail carrier and over the road truck driver. He spent most of his life raising, selling and showing appaloosa horses and was a member of the Kentucky Mid State Appaloosa Horse Club and the Pioneer Saddle Club. He was a former Chief of the Owen Co. Fire Department. He also loved his Boxer dogs. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Burke Walker whom he married on August 13, 1960. Also surviving are his children, Tonya (Eric) Lindsay and Troy Walker, four grandchildren, Amanda (Brad) Whobrey, Timothy (Chelsea Atwood) Walker, Tiffany Walker and Kylie Newsome, three great grandchildren, Kendall, Lynndon and Marlie, siblings, Randy (Karen) Walker and Bobette Olds, and Lanny's longtime companion Christine Saltis along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation is Wednesday from 11 til 2 at the Seminary St. location of New Funeral Homes. The funeral will begin at 2PM. Burial will follow in Owenton Cemetery and memorials may be made to Owen Co. Friends of Animals or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
