Bubby Bruce

David Vincent "Bubby" Bruce, II, age 54, of Owenton, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in LaGrange, KY.

Born August 30, 1967, in Dry Ridge, KY, he was the son of David and Brenda Cook Bruce who both survive. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cheyenne Dakota Hulette, and grandparents, Austin & Juanita Bruce and Ed & Anna Cook. Bubby worked in the construction trade and drove a truck for Rumpke for several years. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, and riding four-wheelers. He also loved spending time with his girls.

He is survived by his parents, David & Brenda Bruce; his daughters, Alyssa Nicole Bruce and Destiny Drailynn Bruce; a grandson, Damien Hersh; his sisters, Cindy (Mark Greene) Bruce Walker and Summer (Mike) Oerther; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 11 am until 2 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with Bro. Kerry Dale Spencer presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to DCCH Center for Children & Families, 75 Orphanage Road, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
