Bruce Wayne Tackett

Owenton – Bruce Wayne Tackett, 58 of Owenton passed away Monday, August 9, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness. Born June 3, 1952, in Belcher, KY, he was the son of the late Earl Tackett and Pebble Ratliff Alberty. Bruce was a member of the Cesarea Church of Christ and worked in the construction trade as a roofer. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Bracken Tackett; four sons, Chris Eric Tackett of Lexington, Jordan James Adkins of Pike County, Bruce Grant Tackett and Brian Daniel Tackett of Owenton; three daughters Andrea Nicole Bracken, Alicia Gail Roberts and Ashley Rae Tackett all of Owenton; and a sister, Leticia Dawn Ruth of Owenton. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Haven and Grant Judd, Lukas and Kloey Tackett and Madelyn and Sydney Roberts. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, August 12th from 11am to 2pm. Funeral Services will follow at 2pm with Bro. John Hopkins, Bro. Jim Belcher and Bro. David Wotier officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home
