Brooklyn Caldwell Hartman, age 27, of Bardstown and formerly of Owenton, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010, in an automobile accident. Born April 23, 1983, she was a 2001 graduate of Owen County High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Louisville obtaining her degree in Criminal Justice. She was employed by the University of Louisville, Card Office. Her maternal grandfather, Albert Hammond Jr. and her paternal grandmother Anna Louise O’Banion preceded her in death. She is survived by her parents, Curtis Caldwell and Natalie Hammond Smith both of Owenton; her son, Dunhum Curtis Hartman of Bardstown; her sisters, Megan Reed Caldwell and Kayla Louise Caldwell; her uncle Jeff Caldwell all of Owen County; her Paternal grandfather Earl Wayne Caldwell of Warsaw and Maternal grandmother, Ethel Hammond of Owenton and a niece and nephew, Rylan Dae Caldwell and Weston Camden Goodrich. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Saturday, December 18th from Noon to 2pm. Memorial services will follow at 2pm.
