Brian Douglas Chandler

Brian Douglas Chandler, age 20, of Owenton, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.  Born July 10, 1993, in Ft. Thomas, KY, he was a 2011 graduate of Owen County High School.  Brian was a farmer and loved the outdoors, especially fishing and four wheeling. His ultimate gift in his passing was being an organ donor.  He was affectionately known to friends and family as Jughead and Tweety Bird. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joyce Combs and Butch Chandler. He is survived by his parents, Maggie Combs and Fred "Buddy" Roberts, Jr. and Doug and Lynn Chandler; his maternal grandparents, Herschel & Ann Combs, Jr. and Fred Roberts, Sr.; his paternal grandparents Connie Chandler and Darrell and Becky Howard; brothers, Joseph Snawder of Grant County, Justin and Christopher Snawder of Owenton; sisters, Vicky Snawder of Louisville, Montana Clifford of Owenton, Crystal Roberts of Owenton, Bethany Hahn of Bardstown and Chelsea Chandler of Bardstown. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, May 15th from 4-8pm.  Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Friday with Bro. James Carrroll and Bro. Darren Wolford presiding.  Burial will be in the Combs Family Cemetery.  Memorial Contributions are suggested to Brian's Family in care of McDonald & New Funeral Homes, P.O.
