Bonnie Jean Srouder

Bonnie Jean Srouder (nee Mason) 88 years young, passed away at her home on Saturday evening, June 10th, 2023. Bonnie was the widow of Bobby Gene Srouder. Bonnie had been a resident of Berea, KY since April 2004, having moved here from Owen County to be nearer her son, Doyle Keith (Teresa) and her only Grandson, Nathaniel. Bonnie was born June 18, 1934 to Willard and Aline Woolums Mason of the Hesler Community of Owen County, Kentucky. She graduated with the first senior class of the consolidated Owen County High School in 1952. She would marry George Walter Keith in February 1954, residing on Swope Rd. She and Walter were the parents of Philip, Wallace, Doyle and Doug. She and Bobby married in August 1973; they resided on Hwy 330. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her sons; Philip, Wallace and Doug each dying in infancy, her husband Bobby. She is survived by her son Doyle Keith (Teresa)of Berea, KY, grandson Nathaniel Keith (Brittany), great granddaughters Kinsley and Emmie Keith all of Olmstead, KY. Bonnie was an active participant of what ever she was involved with. Whether it was Children’s Church, VBS, Senior Saints or her “Burnell Dr. Hen Parties”. She was a proud retiree of the Kentucky State Police data entry. She was equally as proud of being a “farmer’s wife”. Bonnie was a gifted seamstress, having done alterations for many in Berea. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 14th, 2023, at Davis & Powell Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until the funeral service at 7:30 PM, you may view the service via livestream at www.davisandpowellfuneralhome.com Officiating will be Rev. Mark Wilhoite, and Rev. Darnell Hill. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, June 15th, 2023, in Owenton Cemetery in Owenton, KY, visitation from 12:30 PM until 1:00. Honorary pallbearers will be, Nathaniel Keith, Michael Cornman, Gary Perkins, Wally Campbell, R.T. Thompson, and Bill Howard.
