Bonnie Jean Searcy

Bonnie Jean Searcy, 87, passed away Monday, February 8, at her home on Ghent Eagle Road. Born November 1922, she was the daughter of the late James Pickett and Sue Hayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Searcy, whom she married November 30, 1941. Together, they operated the Farm Bureau Insurance Agency in Carrollton. Bonnie worked as secretary for over 30 years and was still serving on the Board of Directors. Bonnie was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Survivors include, two sons: Billy E. Searcy of Sanders, Gary L. Searcy of Lawty, Fl., one brother: Bobby Pickett of Birmingham, Al., and one sister: Helen Faye Ray of Springfield, Oh. Eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 11th, from 11am until 2pm at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home. Services will begin at 2pm with Rev. Jim Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
