Bobby Gene Rose

Bobby Gene Rose, age 64, of Owenton passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the home of his son. Born January 10, 1949, in Frankfort, he was the son of the late Howard Rose, Jr. and Viola Potts Rose. Bobby was a Viet Nam Veteran having served in the Army, 1st Calvary. He was a retired farmer, truck driver and car dealer. Surviving are his three sons, Bobby Joe (Joy) Rose, Todd (Lyn) Rose and Chad (Anna) Rose; his brother Larry Rose; his sisters, Shirley (Park) Perkins, Wilma (Ron) Christopher, Connie (Harry) Bickers and Vermelle West. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Tatiana, Allison, Breanna, Tabby, Ayla, Trey, Bradley and Kristan and great grandchildren, Sophie and Kiya. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, May 10th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday with Bro. Paul Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in the Squiresville Cemetery Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
