Bobby K Hearne

Bobby K. Hearne, age 70, of Poplar Grove, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice. Born Oct. 30, 1941 in Cincinnati, he was the son of the late Albion and Hettie Pace Hearne. He was also preceded by his wife Barbara in March of 2010. Mr. Hearne was retired from the National Guard as a Master Sergeant. He was also a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church and the American Legion. Surviving are his son, Stephen (Rebecca) Hearne of Walton, his daughter Pamela (Lanny) Patton of Burlington; two brothers, Don Hearne and Billy (Barbara) Hearne; one sister Evelyn Hearne all of Poplar Grove; five grandchildren, Eric Shayne and Joshua Patton, Emily Jean, Brandon Kenneth and Jacob Charles Hearne. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, January 19th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11am with Bro. Tom Hall presiding. Burial will be in the Burlington I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Red Cross or the St. Elizabeth Hospice.
