Bobby G. Byrd

Bobby G. Byrd, 68, of Corinth, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Grant County. Born July 21, 1941, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Adrian and Bessie Sorrell Byrd and was preceded; his brother Adrian Byrd and his sister Louise Powell. Bobby was retired from GMAC as an auto assembler, a farmer and a member of the Williamstown Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Wagers Byrd; four sons, Barry, Richard, Jerad and Patrick Byrd; two daughters Kimberly Byrd-Hunter and Valerie Byrd; two sisters, Jeanie Blevins and Bernice Montalto; eight grandchildren, Adrian, Stephanie, Kyla Dawn, Telisha, Melissa, Carey, Aaron and Evan and three great grandchildren. McDonald &New Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location, on Sunday, December 20th from 1-5pm. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2pm with Bro. Bobby Jewel officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
