Bob G. Webster

Bob G. Webster, age 76, of Owenton passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the Providence Healthcare Center in Warsaw, KY. Born August 19, 1939, in the Poplar Grove community of Owen County he was the son of the late Wilbert and Nancy Jett Webster and was preceded by his brother, Ronnie Webster. Bob was a lifelong grocer, he began his career at Kroger and went on to be a co-owner of both Eades Food Market and Meadowview, he worked for Laurel Wholesale Grocer and owned Saveway Supermarket. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are his sons, Curtis (Debbie) Webster and Tony (Kristen) Webster; his daughters, Dawn (Fred, Jr.) Powers and Jean Allen (Chris) Ellington; his brothers, Jim Webster and Gary Webster; fourteen grandchildren, Kevin, Liz, Craig, Stephanie, Stephen, Brandon, Ryanne, Christopher, Caroline, Michael, Trevor, Tori, John and Christa; thirteen great grandchildren, Levi, Bridgett, Emily, Carson, Alex, A.J., Porter, Max, Jase, Lila, Anthony, Jenise and Janae. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob's grandsons, Kevin, Craig, Stephen, Christopher, Brandon, Michael and nephew, Billy. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Kistner, Don True, Ed Godby, Red Shryock, J.O. Powers, Howard Bishop Jr. and Larry Mason. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, October 21st from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 am with Bro. Bill Allen presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
