Blaine Boutwell

Edgar "Blaine" Boutwell, age 70, of Worthville, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, in Lexington.

Born March 19, 1953, in Covington, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary Catherine Schrauge Boutwell. Blaine was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church and retired from Arkema Chemicals. When not at work he could always be found in the garage restoring cars or traveling to car shows.  The jewels of his collection were his 1937 Nash and his 1968 AMX.

He will be missed by his wife of over 51 years, Lydia Ayres Boutwell; his sons, Matthew (Toinetta) Boutell and Timothy Boutwell; his grandchildren, Nash and Jocelyn Boutwell, and Haileigh Noll; his siblings, Patricia Haizman, Robert Boutwell, Elise Bauer, and Carolyn Dury; as well as a host of extended family.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A memorial service will be held at 6 pm, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Main Street location with visitation beginning at 4 pm.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
