Billy Joe 'B.J.' Sharp

Billy Joe (B.J.) Sharp, age 39, of Owenton, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Born April 16, 1982, in Frankfort, KY. He was the son of Bill Sharp and Tammy Martin. B.J. was a truck driver, a jack of all trades, and just a real nice guy who knew no strangers. He enjoyed cutting up, fishing, and spending time with his children and wife. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Otis and Ruby Martin and Bobby Sharp along with his father-in-law Larry Roberts.

He is survived by his wife Belinda (Roberts) Sharp, his son Blake Tyler; his daughters, Lyndsey Gene, Ruby May, Autumn Hazel Jane, and Whitney Faye, his parents; Bill Sharp and Tammy Martin, two brothers; Nicholas (Katrena) Sharp and Brandon (Lena) Sharp, his mother-in-law Linda Roberts, a paternal grandmother Ella Sharp; six nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held at The First Baptist Church in Owenton, KY, Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 11 AM to 1 PM, funeral to follow at 1 PM with Bro. Ben Wilson presiding. Burial to follow at the Owenton Cemetery. A memorial contribution can be made to McDonald & New Funeral Homes for funeral expenses.
