Billy Claude Karsner, 76, passed away Friday Dec. 9 2011 in Lexington. He was born in Owen County the son of the late Kenneth and Sylvia Grisham Karsner. He was a farmer, member of the Old Cedar Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon and Sunday School Superintendant, a Peoples Bank Director and a Director for the Burley Co-Op in Lexington. Surviving are his wife, Linda Ayres Karsner of Monterey, three sons, Tony and wife Carol of Monterey, Thomas Scott and wife Sandy of Frankfort and Troy and wife Phyllis of Shelbyville, one brother, Robert and wife Wanda of Frankfort. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, Dec. 12 from 4 to 8pm. Funeral services will be at 2pm Tues. with Bro. Everett Hawkins presiding. Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Old Cedar Baptist Church, Monterey Cemetery or Owen County Friends of Animals.
