Billy Fulton Ellis

Billy Fulton Ellis, age 80, of LaGrange and formerly of Owenton, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born March 22, 1944, in the Beechwood community of Owen County, he was the son of the late Lydia Mae Noles Ellis and Alvin "Tug" Ellis. Billy was a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church and served his country in the Army National Guard.  He retired from Kuhlam Electric and spent much of his life farming. He was a talented musician who enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family.

Billy will be missed by his wife, whom he married on November 20, 1970, Nancy Sue Gibson Ellis; his daughter, Sherry (Jason) Perry; granddaughters, Emily (Zach) Harris, Allie Perry, and Laura Perry; and his great-granddaughter, Elena Harris.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Private services were held with burial in the Monterey Cemetery. Those wishing to honor Billy's memory are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to St. Judes Children's Hospital or Hosparus.
