Billy Atha

Billy Atha, age 86, of Frankfort, passed away at this home on Monday, December 28, 2020.

Born August 24, 1934, in the Monterey community of Owen County, he was the son of the late Ollie B. and Lucille Green Atha.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Donahue Atha, and his children, Clinton Atha and Beverly Atha. Billy was retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a landscaper. He enjoyed attending Faith Baptist Church, where he was a devoted member.  He enjoyed spending time with friends, especially Sue, playing pitch at the Monterey Market and hanging out with the McDonald's Coffee Crew.

Billy will be missed by his long time friend and companion, Sue Hazlett; his brother Ralph (Theresa) Atha; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 11 am with Bro. Everett Hawkins presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to McDonald & New Funeral Homes.
