Beverly Ann Johns

Beverly Ann Johns passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky, at the age of 87. Born on December 12, 1938, in Owen County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late W.C. and Louise Baldwin Rose. Beverly was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Johns, and her daughter, Vickie Parker. 

Beverly was a longtime florist who enjoyed working in the greenhouse and creating beautiful flower pots and floral creations. She was a devoted member of Owenton First Baptist Church and served in the nursery. Beverly loved a good adventure and a weekend trip with Harry, visiting the Biltmore Estate and other regional areas.  Most of all, she will be remembered for being a prankster who loved a good joke and having a good time with her co-workers and friends. 

Beverly will be missed by her loving children, Rob (Angie) Parker, Joel (Leslie) Parker, Leah (David) Tupts, Jett (Tracey) Johns, and Dean (Donna) Tatum-Johns; her grandchildren, Ethan Tupts, Aaron (Carolyn Kelley) Tupts, Dylan Tupts, Lindsay (Nick) Bennett, Brandon (Jenna) Johns, Alex Johns, Bailey Tatum-Johns, and McKenzie Tatum-Johns; her dear cousins, Gene Rose and Jane Piecefield; as well as a host of friends and extended family.

Her passing marks the close of a well-lived life anchored in devotion, dignity, and grace. Beverly’s steadfast presence will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 11 am until 2 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2 pm at New Funeral Homes, 202 North Main Street, Owenton, KY 40359.  Beverly will be laid to rest beside Harry in the Owenton Cemetery with Bro. Brad Bank presiding.  Flowers are welcome, or those wishing to honor Beverly's memory differently are encouraged to contribute to either Bluegrass Care Navigators Hospice or Owenton First Baptist Church.
