Betty Jane Perkins

Betty Jane Perkins, age 85, of Owen County, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Grant Manor. Born December 4, 1927, in Jonesville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hallie Russell Vannarsdall and the widow of Harold Perkins. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are her children, Ronnie (Nancy) Perkins of Warsaw, Paul (Melinda) Perkins of Winchester, Donna (Dr. Harry) Reynolds of Chicago, Lula Parnell of Elsmere, Beverly (Joe) Brown of Atlanta, Margaret (Dr. Joe) Delehanty of Rochester, NY and Teresa (John) Blackaby of Berry. Twenty one grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and one expected great grandchild also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, December 20th from 11am until 12:30pm. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 with Bro. Tom Hall presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
